Clemens

Clemens

Should I get rid of him? He's lost FIVE in a row! Should he turn around or is he a waste? I'm playing in Dodger stadium.

Dodger Stadium is 1-1 / 8-11, so while Clemens is one of the best, what you most need in your park is pitching that is hard on righties...help protect against that fairly happy righthanded BPHR rating. But given how powerful Roger Rocket's card is, you should hold on to him and expect to see his numbers improve...furthermore, you'll take a huge hit if you dump him (almost 1.6M)...if you really want to dispose of him, look to trade him and then cringe when he comes up against you down the road!

Happy now that you've got an answer?

in the 05 game pitching is really hard to come by. Clemens has a good card with no BR Hr's on it, seems a good fit for your park.

but as Hecho said, try to trade before dropping, besides who is really out on the FA market that you might pick up. Ususally the pitchers FA list is pretty bare.

Clemens is a main stay on a lot of my teams. There have to be other reasons why he is underperforming! Doger stadium is a park designed for him.

They could be:

1) Defence up the middle (SS, 2B, CF)
He bennefits greatly from d up the middle coupled with his strikeouts.

2) Bad offence.
What is his ERA? If it's under 4 then I would look to upgrade
offensively.

3) Bad bullpen
Is he loosing or are his leads being blown?

4) You just suck!
Hey...some people are just not good at this game.

Just kidding with that last one. Better to post a link to your team so we can evaluate the whole picture. Bottom line is- there is a reason why he is strugling and it's not that he is not fit for that park.

LOL thanks for your answers. Here is the link to my team. I don't think I suck though...this is only my third team...and it's a free one. I did lose in game seven of the finals with my last team though.

Actually...I think whenever he pitches he loses low scoring games. When he's not pitching...I score runs. I'm like seventh in offense, fourth in pitching...yet I'm second overall in the league. This team really confuses me. lol
