Tanking your league

Randy---I have sent at least 5 messages to Nico-Bernie-customer service and anyone I can think of and have recieved NOT ONE reply...I am so pissed off about their lack of service...Disgusting!!! When my fingers quit tying this note I am cancelling my account with TSN...I only four teams going...Angels and Droolers are about to end...The 69' garbage league in question and an 80's team that just started....I will not tank any of the teams but HAL will play em' the rest of the way as of now.

To Randy-Ehlekev-DocTax-ugrant-errormagnate-and so many others I have played with it has been fun and I do wish you all the best...

I will be demanding a refund for a draft and play team I recently signed up for..(I'm quite sure I'll get no response to that either)...

Most of you guys have my email...shoot me an email from time to time.

I've been reading this thread with interest over the past few days. Not that it would help for your league but wouldn't a general minimum roster amount prevent problems like this in non-mystery card games? If the minimum roster amount was $50 million (in a standard autodraft league), no one could initially select a team of all cheapies (or reduce the roster value past this point during the season). Ideally, theme leagues could still set a lower (or no limit), as needed.

That is a good point Gator. This must have been a 200M cap league which has no minimum salary. Every other cap has a minimum. If this was a regular league then there should have been a minimum. :?

that team is now 0-21!!!! I'm a pretty easy going guy, but I'm getting upset by the lack of concern by TSN over the fair play issue. This tanker may be buddies to the guys in his division. Perhaps they figure that with his buddies will have a better chance at picking up 3 credits by having 2 playoff teams from his division and get a net gain from blowing a credit on the tanker team.....!! Who knows what motivates someone to spend $25 on a team going of .50M

I am new to the world of TSN S-O-M baseball, and I am so excited about my 70s team that I just signed up for a 1969 team. I must say that this thread deeply disturbs me. The tanker is making a mockery out of the league.

In fantasy online roleplaying games (EverQuest, World of Warcraft, Eve Online, others) this is known as griefing: a player going out of his way to ruin the experience of others. Griefers enjoy the ensuing "flaming" they receive and enjoy upsetting people. I cannot understand this type of person, but they have no business being in a Strat-o-Matic league.

If anyone from TSN reads this, I implore you to do something about this. This has to stop NOW. Tanking is a violation by the rules you set forth; please enforce your rule!
