Is this short term underperformance or a lousy team?

Playing in Forbes:

http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/atg2/team/team_other.html?user_id=77266&stats=sim

Busch 64, Briggs 40 and Tiger 84 in my division, the rest is pitcher or lefty.

Input and ideas?

Your team does not really have a lead off hitter and 3 Finger is having bad luck.

The only thing I would change is to lead off Joe Jackson instead of Judge or Dimaggio. Yount for Honus Wagner or Ozzie Smith would be a good trade

Txs Charlie, I'll make a switch and see about a trade.

I know some managers have good luck throwing nickel guys in Forbes, but I don't have that same luck. The nickels you have are probably struggling on the road in the divisional homer domes. Brown will come around.

It doesn't look like a bad lineup, but the unfortunate thing is I don't see anyone underperforming beyond Schalk. A few pseudo OBP guys in Rolfe, Judge, and Dom, who can just as easily come in at .340 OBP as .400 OBP. I like a little more consistent OBP at the top, though your guys are doing well so far.

Are your nickel guys doing some damage in relief? Your pure relievers have been outstanding, but I would guess that the Wilks and Roes might be sneaking into games and blowing them. If that's the case, try plunking them in the rotation and managing the staff through the per-game method to make sure relievers do the relieving.

G/L.

Txs for the advice, I checked and Faber was the only guy not in the rotation.

Brown got crushed last night, 11 hits and 5 runs in 5 IP.

Like always, I just stay the course .... :)

I have Pfiester getting pounded after 40-something games in one of my leagues. Guys like him and 3FB will bounce back and their stats will even out. I suspect that the dice are landing on the hitters cards a little more right now. The law of averages says that the rolls will come closer to 50-50. Sometimes it just takes a while.

Performances vary from season to season in this set. You've got stud pitchers vs. stud hitters. Somethin's gotta give.......hang in there. Sounds like you've got nowhere to go but up... :)

sschu,

I think you're underperforming somewhat, your #4 SP is gonna struggle obviously a little. Are you using Vance as your #4 in the Bomber parks, cause he shouldn't be getting hit that hard in Forbes.

Your hitters should come around. You're facing a high % of LHP's and even Clemente is not hitting them very hard, so either they are top notch LHP's or your just not getting the rolls.

Ride it out a while longer, juggle the lineup and maybe consider moving McGregor out, he's getting pounded pretty hard by the RH bats.

As I see it, your stats look pretty darn good. Curious to me it has not translated into more wins.

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but how did the Mammoth Ms team draft an $81.67M team in an $80M league?
