What is HAL doing?????

Postby DAVIDCONNORS » Tue Feb 27, 2007 12:47 pm

Twice within one week, HAL pinch hit for Cuellar WITH THE LEAD!!!! And Cuellar cruising along. And trust me, ain't nobody in my pen better than Cuellar. Then, HAL pulls Dierker to begin the sixth inning. Not a pinch hitter. He just brings in Frank Linzy to begin the sixth for no apparent reason.

Why is HAL doing this to me? I have them both set to "slow hook". Dierker and Cuellar are my priciest players. I want them in the game. Any advice? Thanks....Dave

In your strategy settings make sure that you don't have your bullpen set to agressive.

Other than that, we all scratch our head over HAL from time to time!

Maybe when Cuellar and Dierker are pitching, set your BP to conservative?

My only team is in the 70s league where DH is the norm (I'm waiting for my 1969 league to get started). I see the advantage of having DH is you are not at the mercy of HAL handling pinch-hitters.

However, if HAL has Frank Robinson (D rating set to not steal) try to steal one more time, I may become violent! At least he was safe last time. :)
