I grew up in the 80's were if you had 2 guys w/ 30+ HR and 2 guys w/ .300 BA you were a REAL good team. Defense and pitching were important and so was speed (remember that Guy that stole 100 bases a year every year- i think he was on ST.Louie) so now I build my teams around HR, BA,Speed, and Bullpen mainly with 2 decent starters and 2 so/so starters in HR parks like the old "Launching Pad",etc, and I ignore the little things in this game that make me love the REAL sport so much, like a good slider or a slow breaking ball, good range and rocket arms, ya know, good managing. Now I sit around and hope my starters don't give up too many runs cuz my pen usually shuts the opponant down, and I hope my hitters get on, steal a base or two and then my 5 HR hitters blast enough Homers to win the game. In 5 years (my old name was wasting air) i have sucked, sucked, and sucked some more. I think I outsucked most VC prostitutes. Ocassionally (5 times) i get to the playoff and 2 times got to the series with 1 ring. Loobie/loe-Loob has been my mentor this year and I am improving but after 5 years I should be better than this! any more help out there? And please, no telling me to give it up or get off your post. I'm a friendly, avid player who is looking for more help and appreciate every piece I get. Thanks  :( :?
