GBBR II - GET CUMMINGS 2 !!!

Postby Jeepdriver » Tue Mar 06, 2007 8:28 am

BTW, my squad leads the league in both Complete Games and Shutouts. The "O" is second in both HR's and Sluggling. Yet we're 6 under .500 and was 14 under before this hot streak. Go freakin' figure.

Jeep, the way things are going, I doubt you won't have too much trouble having a better record than my DeadHorses!! We're 3-7 in the last 10 while you are 8-2. My horse is limping to the finish line and will be shot the minute he crosses!!
By the way, your favorite stat..."run differential"......you are 31 Runs higher than your opponents while my team is 31 runs less than my opponents.......yet I have a 1 game lead!! :?

[quote:6ef0a73886="Jeep"]It's funny how my squad will out-of-nowhere get a sweep over a good team[/quote:6ef0a73886]

Is it? Then why am I not laughing?

I said I didn't feel safe. And immediately afterwards, I get swept by Jeep, and Michaels, my CF and #2 hitter goes down for 15 games. This of course happens on the same day as the transaction deadline, so no opportunity to replace him. And I STILL don't feel safe, although on the plus side, I finish my road schedule tonight, and finish with three home series, where I've been very good. I could catch KD, or I could get knocked right out of the playoffs. 12 to go.

Big series with Tom tonight. 5 games back of Lee for WC so I think I need this series tonight to make the playoffs.

We have our only shot at getting in the playoffs tonight. The Prep team has an abysmal record of 6-12 vs C2's Mirrors :? . I am hoping for a broken Mirror tonight and 7 years  (games at least) bad luck.
Otherwise it will take an act of God (or HAL) to win the division.
I also have to hope big's team doesn't get any ideas, sittin right behind me!

Good Luck these last few guys!

If I finish 7-2 I'll end up at .500, not bad for a team 14 games under not so long ago. Let's go Suspects.

BTW, I have but one other team going besides this one and Kotsay got injured for 3 games in both those teams 3rd game last night. Hmmm.

Well, it's just a war of attrition with me at this point. I played most of the series with the Suspects last night without three of my regulars (Sanchez, Michaels, Granderson), and both Michaels and Granderson are missing tonights series. I don't know.....

I tend to use the same players a lot...And I have had injury prone players - Like Hudson, Griffey and Olerud go down on 3-4 teams at 1 time for the same amt of days of injuries.

My feeling is that there is a huge grid and there is not a specific virtual dice roll for every out of every game - With the amount of players, teams and games it would be ridiculous.

Whether there is one grid or 1000, i think if players are on that virtual dice grid in that inning on that roll in the batting order - Every one of them will go down on the same roll. The telling figure is how many games. I had Hudson - who I tend to bat 9th in the order - go down for 15 in 3 leagues I had him in. I bet if I had him bat 7th in one, \\8th in another and 9th in another he might have only gotten injured in one of those leagues. Just a theory.
