I don't think so. Both my 1st Basemen got broken in the free league the first two days ago the second yesterday.

If you are carrying two catchers on your roster and one goes down with an injury, the other one will not be eligible for injury until the other player returns from the DL. That is why you frequently see teams that carry injury-prone scrubs as their backup catcher.

UNC is correct. Catcher is the only position protected this way.

That is why McCann is so attractive ....You can draft Varitek, Lieberthal, Castro, Torrealba at around 1 million with big injuries...start them...get them injured quickly and let McCann play safe. makes it worth spending 8 on the position.

This is true unless you have a 1B or some other position player that is also catcher rated. If you only have 2 players on your roster that are catcher rated the 2nd one cannot become injured. HAL may PH or PR for your last catcher but the 2nd one will never become injured until your 1st one comes back from injury.

What if u use your Catcher as DH.
I've seen managers do this and the starting catcher doesn't seem to get injured.

No, if you have 2 Cs on your roster & are using 1 as DH, both can be injured & you can end up with a non-C behind the plate. I've had it happen.

I don't think that is quite right. If your C gets injured HAL will not move your C playing DH to catcher but will instead use some other fielder. That is the same with any position player playing DH. HAL will not move him to the field.
