Here's a miracle story. HAL let Ed Reulbach actually pitch 6 INNINGS, while losing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eddie gave up three hits, five walks and four earned runs. Score was 4-1. HAL let Reulbach bat in the top of the fifth. Two runs came on a walk and a homerun. Two other runs came on two walks and error, groundout doubleplay(scoring one run) and then a wildpitch. I can't believe HAL did not pull him in the top of the fifth for a pinch hitter. Wow, six innings for one of the best rated pitchers wow. And he was losing. HAL sucks.

I acutally got two responses back from the help desk when I complained about stud pitchers getting pulled. They told me to tweak my settings!!!!!!!!!!! To what MORE and MORE conservative. and SLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOO Hook, I don't see anymore ratings to tweak. I think they did this to stop the super reliever activity and won't tell us.

The help desk is talking about "relief usage" under "manager strategy" and "slow hook" on the individual player settings at the bottom of the individual player cards.

When I have those two set properly, my starters tend to get a large load of innings. But, even then, if you try to second guess every failed decision made by HAL after the fact (few people pay much attention to the choices that work in their favor), it will drive you insane in short order.

Good luck and enjoy. :)
