Any help with Turner Field draft??

Postby ANDYCOCHRANE » Sat Nov 19, 2005 12:44 pm

I want to draft a new team tongihjt and am playing (I think) in Turner field. Does anyone have any advice as this is my first time there. I presume I will need a few LH hitters to take advantage of the 11 8 BP split but any other help would be very gratefully received.

I've had 1 Turner Field team finished 91-71.
It's a bit better for left handed hitters but not enough that righties can't have success. Not too many offensive stars on this team. Helton, C.Lee, and Rollins all had good years for me. Santana and Clemens were great. I'd draft a fairly balanced team, with maybe a slight favour towards left handed bats. You'll have to see what other parks are in your div, as that might change the players you want somewhat. In my opinion it's more of a pitchers park, have good defence.

I agree. A common error I see is that managers play it like it's Shea, it's NOT...

(Although a team crafted like that is currently beating me in the Finals, oy, what do I know... )

I'm at Turner for my first time playing in Strato and have a record of 9-6 at home. My team has good L/R balance in pitching, but I only have two left handed batters, Geoff Jenkins & Mark Tiexera (s). Look at Juan Rincon for your bullpen. He is a RH who does well against LH batters. Ryan Drese has also pitched very well for my team so far. I agree with Roscodog, I think having a good defense really helps. Good Luck.
