At the moment just starting to get my idea's formed. My question has to do with the concept of whether I could pick a team out and then challenge everyone to beat them.

Bob, we're up for just about anything. However, for some reason, when I put my theme out there last year, everyone shot down my idea! I thought that I get a $200M salary and everyone else gets $60M idea was fair!

I don't believe we have ever established a rule for what type of theme you can have. Roll it out there and let's poll everyone to see if they think it is fair.

TOTM ( MARCH) BATTLE OF THE ERA's

Based on Lottery Draw ( High to Low) Exception is I get to be in ERA 2,

4 Managers in each ERA draft against each other. No players allowed from outside their era. My proposal would be to have 3 separate LIVE DRAFTS. By Live Draft I mean that the 4 managers are online at the same time so I would expect that the draft would need to be held on multiple days. There would be a 7-10 minute window with the hope that many picks could be minutes long.

I have experience doing this and that's why I suggest multiple days as well as limiting the Live draft to 15 picks for each team.

I would help on all 3 ERA's draft but there would be a lead on each draft.

If Drafting by Team is preferable we will use these rules:

1.Managers within each ERA pick Teams on a Serpentine basis.
2. The draft will be serpentine (1-12, 12-1) and will be 7 rounds with last
round used to select players from undrafted teams...
3. You must select a team for each round (protected teams)
4. This will be 200M, No DH advanced, 5/10/20 and waivers.
5. Must maintain a roster of 25 players from your ERA for entire season
6. Bench Rules will be as described in the PLayer draft section below.
7. TRADES ALLOWED from within your ERA only.
8 .Stadium must be selected from your protected teams

Other Highlights for Player Draft

$200M Cap
Limit of 25 players on roster
No DH
Trades within ERA and FA's can be picked up within era.
Ballparks within era on 16th pick
Serpentine Draft of 15 players + ballpark.
1 Pitcher over $5M allowed in Bullpen
2 Hitters on Bench over $5M on Bench

I would listen to members on whether in lieu of drafting 15 players we instead draft Teams within the ERA.

Sounds confusing to me. Say I am in ERA 1m and pick ;06 Cubs in rnd 1, that mean I am the only one who can take players from them, or does that me they are 1 of the ERA 1 teams that all 4 of in that ERA can pick from? :?

As for alive draft, trying to get all 4 people from each ERA online at the same time will be real tricky, unless we are all off either Sunday (18th) or Monday (19th) President's Day.
