Assmeriten - Based on Lottery Results ( High to Low) Serpentine each manager would pick the ERA they wish to be in. If the league would rather pick teams then there would be a draft within each era using the same lottery results but each manager would select 1 team until each manager would have an even number of teams and then the FA's could either be drafted or selected during the autodraft.

CATom - The reason for me asking for era 2 is that the purpose of me developing this theme was my not being satisfied with playing an era theme but with an $80M cap and using era 2 but not being able to use many of the stars due to the fact that they were to good. I wanted to see what era was best if they were allowed to use the eligible players.

I had previousily asked about using a Theme in which I could chose the set I wanted and was given the response that there was no problem in asking. If there is a problem I could back off and take my chances with the lottery.

So if team draft is the way this goes, then in ERA 1 each manager picks 4 teams which would then leave 2 or 3 teams to fine tune your team. Which I think is the same number of team that ERA 3 would get, if I counted right era 2 would get 6 teams to make their team.

I do think that either a team draft or straight auto draft for your era would be easier than trying to do a live draft but that is just my .02.

But of course Bob gets the final say in how things are run since it is his theme. 8)

Team drafts would probably be preferable and more practical. There's no way that we can all get together for a "live" draft of 15 rounds. That would take weeks with our group.

IMO, there's lots of busy guys in multiple leagues with lots of things going on besides this game...

As long as rules are established, clarifications are made as necessary and we stick to the original rules, count me in for whatever you decide, Bob...

I vote for a team draft for the March theme....if we are still voting on this issue. It does sound fun! I wish I had $200M!!

The responses from the membership clearly result in using a Team vs Player Draft.

I need to ask a final question. Looking at how I split teams into Era's is there any comments relating to whether the Era's look fair.

ERA 1 - 22 teams
ERA 2 - 24 teams
ERA 3 - 24 teams

Is 1 ERA weaker than the others. Does ERA 1 have to be given 1 or more teams. Is ERA 3 weaker than the other ERA's and maybe needs more teams. Can the 2 1940 teams be split?

Can we use prior selection of Lottery states so not to ask managers for states.
