[quote:9a1b040dfa]Cano gets a 6- DOUBLE(cf) . Isn't there then a check to see if there is a error?[/quote:9a1b040dfa]
No, the only time there is an error check is on a [b:9a1b040dfa]cfX[/b:9a1b040dfa] result. The only thing that happens when a [b:9a1b040dfa]DOUBLE[/b:9a1b040dfa] result comes up is that the runner can try to advance againts the CF arm, you add or subtract the arm rating to the runners running rating and roll a 20 sided die if you roll the modified rating or under the runner is safe if you roll over the runner is thrown out trying to stretch the double.
Now again, I haven't played the board game in about 8 years, and maybe there is a rule about the throw roll that I'm forgetting, but that's how I always remember it.
I'lll look for it tonight when I get home from work (and probably find it too) to see if I'm mistaken.
In the meantime here's a link with the rules and NOWHERE is there mention of a possible error when thowing the ball from the outfield trying to cut down a runner attempting to stretch a DOUBLE, or SINGLE for that matter.
