Once again I can make someone unhappy. :D At least I'm doing something right.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder Sandy. I feel pretty stoked that we can play in a league like this & actually bring off a complicated 3-way deal, and you set up a structure that allows it, and I imagine Chuck & DT feel the same. Understand that it's tricky to administer but you've done a great job so keep your chin up.

On the Matsuzaka mention, of course we all understand me getting Chuck's pick guarantees nothing, but looking at the total values on Chuck's team I think it's fair to conclude that he's rebuilding & likely to garner a high pick next year. We did want to be transparent about the pick logic & overall trade logic, and that was the assumption is the pick he's giving up could be as high as #1 and that DT's pick will likely be much lower in the round.

Anyway, I'm sure you get all that. Onward & upward!

BTW nice pick Hawk - Capps was on my target list for this round...

KD - I've got you finishing about 10 gms ahead of Chuck with the current teams after a bunch of new sims. Understand there's a lot that can happen between now & then, but even if I don't get Matsuzaka I think Thome plus a top 3 pick next year is probably still worth the deal, but Matsuzaka is of course the big prize there.

And I am sure I'll be facing plenty of LHP, but the sims have me winning around 55-60% of games vs LH SP vs. 60-65% vs RH SP, so I'll take those odds. 8)

Speaking of drafts and draft positions, I have a couple questions that have jumped to mind:

The supplemental draft order last year was based on the results of the first league of the year. The draft order of the free agent draft going on now is based on the cumulative records of both last seasons leagues.

1) What determines draft order in the supplemental draft this year? I assume it is the final record of the first season we play this year, correct?

2) What determines the draft order in the free agent draft next year? I assume it is cumulative results of this years leagues, correct?

The only area in which the cumulative records of all leagues in all years have any affect is in determining divisional assignments from season to season, correct?
