Trades?

Postby Ducapa » Thu Apr 12, 2007 8:43 pm

I love trades and probably have mad at least one in every league I have been in. Just started up a $200M league where I would expect thetrades to be flowing since cap space is no issue and there are no FAs left. However, its like pulling teeth, nobody responds to messages about possible trades and when I have sent fair offers to get a mid-priced catcher to a team who has 3 catchers, and he leaves the offer as read and does not respond or counter it drives me nuts. What gives?

geek,

Pre-waiver trades I can understand your point ... I just think it is difficult during the season ... for the reasons I mentioned, as well as the many other good reasons post by others above.

On a good note, I did make two trades pre-waiver with my current league.

What I didn't like was I made the offer, and they just accepted. No comments back.

But again, "quiet leauges" can be understandable ... people just don't want to be bothered. When I played the board version, I'd get frustrated in our leagues because you put so much time in, and nothing came of it.

And then ... "hmmmm .... if he wants him, he's going to get better. why would I want to make my competition better?" That's the tough one.
