Strat informational website

I'd like to get some opinions on something here. If someone were to create a new Strat website that did not charge for information what kind of info would you like to see on that website?

I'm bumping this because I seriously would like some input, especially from newer players who have gotten frustrated surfing the internet only to find a zillion pay sites.

What is it you are looking for? If you want to succeed at the online version of SOM read this multiple times.

I'm just looking for suggestions for a new web site. One that breaks things down well for new guys and doesn't charge an arm and a leg. That is certainly a good start, and I have read it before. What else do you think is essential to winning consistently?

Here is something that people have been asking for and to my knowledge does not exist. Data on what the various settings do. Unlikely you could ever tell exactly what they do because you have no access to the computer code. But controlled data that shows changing relief usage from normal to aggress results in x% increase in relief innings or switching stealing from normal to conservative results in x% reduction in steal attempts and a y% change in success rate.

Not information on how to win but rather information on how to use the settings to shape the team and get it managed according to our philosophy and desires.

The number crunching and ratings type stuff have already been done.

Thank you for the suggestion. I agree that such information would be great to have.

I'd like to see the fielding charts and the strategy charts.

These forums have done a lot to help me. I'm not sure there's a real need for a website ... there are great sites that have tools (berce, diamonddope) or analysis (When to play a slick fielder ...). But I'd hope that game mechanics such as the analysis mentioned or what Valen sites could be worked into these boards. But, someone has to do the work, and I ain't the guy.

I suggest if someone desires to know the intricasies of the game, they take the same tact as the noob thread and lay out the subject areas. Then people can fill in where they see fit. Hopefully if it's something important enough Bernie can work it into the SOMO directions.
