Once the 2nd round is complete, can the actions to be taken after round 2 be posted?

We'll have our 2 teams and stadiums drafted.

Next:

1. Protect 15-20 (no more, no less??) from Team 1

2. Protect exactly (??) 5 from Team 2
Q.- can we protect more from Team 2 if we want??

3. Post protected players?
Q. - if this is correct, the clarification of #1 and #2 would help

4. Draft rules for rounds 3 & 4

Sorry if I'm thick on this. First 2 rounds were easy...rules after that are kinda fuzzy. :roll:

I have a followup suggestion--should we PM our list of protected players to a trusted vet, who can then post them all at once? If each individual manager posts them publicly, some guys may get an advantage by waiting to see who other managers have left unprotected.

Not that anyone in this group would try to take unfair advantage! :wink:

Sorry to stick my nose in this, but I drafted my teams under the following assumptions:

Team 1 - protect at least 15 and no more than 20 players
Team 2 - protect exactly 5 players

Post protected player list after the completion of the second round.

Draft up to 3 players (in reverse order of round 1) until you have completed your 25 man roster.

Draft remaining players needed to complete your roster, in reverse order to round 3.

If that's not right, I'll be bummin'. :?

That's my understanding of the rules also.

It is also my understanding that your team must meet the salary cap with your 15-20 protected players from team 1, your 5 players from team 2, plus your free agents if any.

In other words, you can't protect all your high-priced players, draft some pricey free agents, then drop some overpriced dogs in favor of $0.50 backups when it's time to actually create your team on the TSN site.

I toyes with taking the Angels with my second pick, but I talked myself out of it. Nice pick!

As far as the protected players list, here is what I propose: Each team will need to list the 15-20 players that they want to protect from Team 1 and the 5 (NO MORE THAN 5) players from Team 2 that they want to protect. POST THOSE PLAYERS HERE (for all to see) and I will volunteer my services to send either an Excel-based sheet of the available players for drafting in Rounds 3 and Round 4 OR I'll post them here (although the list would be extremely lengthy!).

I have no other interest in doing this list other than to make sure we all know who is and isn't out there.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Dave makes a great point. The team you select on this thread will have to work through the tsn drafting game engine. 10 pitchers, 15 hitters (including 2 that can catch) and under the $100 mill cap.

We'll post the exact same team on the tsn site that gets selected here.

Risden, Thanks for volunteering on the free agents. That would be a huge help to everyone.

I couldn't believe I got the Angels. The Angels match my needs perfectly. Now I can compete in the East.
