Finals records...

Postby Munich_Man » Mon Nov 28, 2005 1:19 pm

After losing my third finals after being up 3-0, and having lost three others after being up 3-1, I was just wondering what some of the other Finals records/experiences were. Anyone else blow it so badly so often?

I'm now 10-10 in finals appearances. I'm extremely thankful to have had the opportunity so often, especially against such great competition. It's just frustrating to get there so often and lose that way, just needing one... more... win... :(

This, from the man who posted about his finals winning streak not too long ago? Has the finals God stepped down from his throne? Thanks for sharing the wealth and allowing others to win some titles - your generosity is appreciated.

Meanwhile, have a beer. :D

I have 3 Finals in which I lost a Game 7. What makes these 3 different than other Finals losses is the fact that in 2 of the series the home team had won the first 6 games of the series, I was the home team for Game 7 and lost both times. In the 3rd series, the road team had won every game in the series. I was on the road for Game 7 and lost. I was ready to quit since these happened with 3 weeks of each other

lol, I guess it's payback for going 2 1/2 years without losing one :) 6-10 since I lost that first one. It's just those 6 losses being up 3-0 and 3-1...

Always glad to be of service to the rest of the community! At least getting there means I get a free opportunity to give something back the next time around.

5-7 in the finals. Making the finals is fun, then just sit back and watch them play.

Lost one I should have won, won one I should have lost. A couple of times teams, including mine, were just on a mission, they were going to win no matter what.

Four losses in four trys in the finals with Yankee 56 teams has been painful .... :)

BTW, I'm 5-8, including consecutive back to back losses at home in games 6-7.

My poor record pales in comparison, but for what its worth, I'm 1-1 in the finals. In my loss, I was up 3-1 on Petrosian, I think. He came back to beat me 3 straight. My second finals, I swept 4-0, after winning a very tight semi-finals 3-2.
