New Strat Game

70 Game

Postby kab105 » Sun Apr 29, 2007 4:40 pm

I just completed a 70's season and loved it. My team finished 80-82 so I didn't kick anyone's butt. However, I found it to be an interesting challenge. I found many owners cutting stud pitchers after 8 or 10 bad innings. Also a ton more transactions than normal. It just presents a different set of obstacles to over come. I am a rookie, and I have asked many questions on this forum. All you experienced players have been great in sharing your knowlege here. You guys know how to build winning teams and are actually students of the strat game. I am sure if you gave it some thought, you could figure out ways to be sucessful in the 70's game. I guess I am just a little surprised that you guys HATE the 70's game because it is too hard.

I'd love to see how the 88 Dodgers would do over a full season of Strat! Probably 50-112! Even Gibby couldn't get the stats to overachieve!

I think Strat needs to release their original season 1962 NL race was a dogfight Lots of big years both P and hitting Players nowhere else in Strat Belinsky Stenhouse great rookies Blind man Ryne Duren and that 2nd year Angels team with Leon Wagner and Lee Thomas A hello of a good P staff in Houston with no hitting except Mejias Yaz taking over for Teddy Mantle MVP Colavito Demeter in Detroit and one God awful team with a bunch of knucleheads like Vinegar Bend and Marvelous Marv Reds P Jay and Purky Jerry Lynch PH TWins with a bunch of big boppers and some decent #'s from a bunch of Indians that could not win LA with Koufax and Drysdale SF with Sanford and Marichal and of course Gibson and Stan the Man on the Cards Nuff said except I think Cuno Barragan was on the Cubs and with that name I would draft him 8)
