Since Brett was not listed on spicki17's keeper list, unfortunately that is an invalid pick. It is too late at this date for spicki to add anyone to his keeper list as it would be unfair to the owners who have already made steal pick selections.

I can't pick Brett because Spicki didn't "protect" him? Why does that sound completely silly?
Sorry folks, but that's BS. Why would anyone bother to list any keepers at all if players could be protected by leaving them off the list???? So if I didn't want to lose Averill all I had to do was leave him off my list? Sounds like a good strategy to me.
I have been doing Naturals since the beginning, and the only way I know of to protect a player from the steal round is to franchise him.

I think spicki got confused. Maybe he thinks he can keep Brett even though he is not listed as either a Franchise Player or a Regular Keeper.
bigmahon cannot take G. Brett because Brett is not listed on his keeper list, and 'stealing' is only from keeper lists.
But spicki17 does not get to keep Brett because Brett is not listed on either his keeper roster OR his 2 Franchise Players. Brett is now a FREE AGENT and will be available to be drafted in the FA Draft.
bigmahon cannot take G. Brett because Brett is not listed on his keeper list, and 'stealing' is only from keeper lists.

Any owner can leave any player off their keeper list if they dont want that player to be stolen. However, the result of that action is that said player(s) are now fair game to be drafted in the FA Draft. i cant agree more, big... this is only my second year doing naturals, but it seems totally silly that you cant take any player besides franchised...
