The Crowded Outfield Syndrome

Building my first 07 effort and have run into a decision making problem for my outfield. Since I like them all, on paper anyways, I was wondering if anyone would care to offer up an opinion on who they would keep. I know its early in the 07 campaign but any advice would be welcome.

My park is MM and my division opponents are in PNC, RFK, Ameriquest

My overloaded OF :

lf- Dunn
cf- A. Jones or Ichiro
rf- Vlad or Ichiro or Dye
dh- any of the above, was going to use Vladdy here

also has anyone used Jeter with success ??? is he worth the hefty price tag ????

I really like Ichiro in 07. The defense is ridiculous and it gives you greater flexibility when drafting.

He's done well for me as has Vlad.

I haven't seen anything positive from Jones. He's hit a bunch of dingers, but also bat .250-260. Same goes for Dunn, with a lesser average.

For MM, I'd look to get Ichiro and Dye in RF. LF is weak in 2007, IMHO.

I agree with visick about LF being a very weak position in the 07 game. The easiest decision about your players is to drop Dunn. He has got to hit much better than he will for you with that defense he has. I also agree that Andruw Jones should be moved or dropped. Go for Ichiro over Jones in CF. Dye and Vlad have been great for what I have seen so far. Dye will hit enough to afford his 4 rating in RF IMO.

I would go with Ichiro in CF, Dye in RF and Vlad the DH.

As for LF....Get Bay or Berkman if they are available. Assuming they are gone Reed Johnson or Ethier are good choices. If you are looking for a little more power check out Monroe.

If you want a platoon here is one. But you can't tell anyone else about this secret platoon. It is just between you and me... :twisted: ..... 8) ..... :shock: ..... :roll:

I have dropped Jones and Dunn. None of the mentioned LF's are available so plugged in LuGo for the moment . There is a definite security leak though on the secret platoon as both guys are taken :( I will post the team link so if there are any other comments they are more than welcome. There is some talent left in the FA market but LF and starting pitching is not one of the stronger areas available.
