About the site outage: 5/9/2007

Today we suffered an unfortunate site outage for much of the business day, due to a problem similar to the one that caused the outage last week.

I'm still trying to find out the details from our tech team, so currently I have nothing more to say than we're sorry. Obviously all of you, our customers, have every right to be upset and impatient with our service. Personally, I am just as frustrated. This is as infuriating to me, the creator of Strat-O-Matic Online, as it is to you.

I am doing everything I can to work with our tech team to avoid these problems in the future. We have never, EVER, in the history of our service, had two site outages of this magnitude in such proximity of each other, and we are not about to let it become a habit.

When I have further updates I'll post them to this thread.

Update, 5/10: We've made upgrades to our system which should prevent this kind of problem from happening in the future. Over the next few days we have even more fixes to implement that should improve our stability. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience caused by Wednesday's outage.

Of course it's frustrating for us all (fortunately I set my teams early this morning before the blackout) but we all know what a great advocate you are for us and how hard you work.

I am confident that you will get it straightened out. This is the best baseball simluation out there in no small part to your hard work.

I was just happy with the portion of the day where the site was up, but the rankings were down.

It made it so much easier to contemplate a possible finals match-up against Errormagnate and his 7000+ points. :lol:

Unfortunately both of us lost game 5 of the semis.
