It's been awhile...

I haven't had a team in a couple of years, and decided to try out the 07 game - any critiques of my team are welcome - i'm just trying to avoid yet another 80-84 season.
Thanks

farcus, to post a link to your team, go to the league statistics page, click on your team and post the resulting URL here. There should be a user_id= at the end. Welcome back!

Looks like you have a good memory. Maine has 5/8 BPHR's though. Too many for Wrigley. You could use your 2Mil and switch Biggio for Ellis who is out there. Santiago could back up his inj.

Starters will get rocked. get a new closer. The guy whose name begins with a "B" under $2.00 has been very, very effective for me. I would also revamp the left side of the IF.

Rick Bauer? A C1? Maybe but I doubt it. If you are talking about Borowski think again. Take a look at how he did for me. This was a two team league so my only choices were Huston Street or Borowski. After Street was rocked early and often I dropped him and started using Borowski. Neither are good options IMO.

I was really dissapointed in a few players from this team. Look at how Swisher really sucked. I thought Hanley Ramirez would compensate for his bad glove with good hitting. Wrong. I ended up using Crosby in a platoon with Ramirez. Crosby did surprisingly good for the money. About the only bright spot was Miggy Cabrera. Oh and check out Eric Reed as a PR. Can you ask for more from a crappy card? I thought Willingham would do better. I should have gone with Frank Thomas I guess.

I have used both Street & Borowski a lot. Street has been OK, struggling when set as both set up and closer. Borowski has been as good as anyone could expect. Check it out:
