Yea sure Sykes, but you failed to mention that your 3.54 ERA came vs my weak hitting lineup.

Ha! I really got you there, didn't I?! :?

Now I'm worried .....

Second AB of the season and Rickey Henderson goes down with an injury. Good news is that it eliminates his worst possible seasons.

Why do I ALWAYS have to start the season with the dreaded Canucks???

Mango Men Under Investigation

Postby YountFan » Sat Nov 19, 2005 12:25 pm

London, ONT (AP) – The Mango Men are under investigation by league officials over what is being called the "Sutcliffe Incidence". It all started when the Mango Men released Sutcliffe in a preseason move to bolster their offense. Sutcliffe was picked up by Hoboken and has appears to be on track for a great season. This caused YountFan, manager of the divisional rival BFD's, to make some disparaging remarks concerning the Mango Men's managerial abilities which now has escalated into the Mango Men lacing the water in the Amazing clubhouse with a substance believed to be a laxative." In game two of last series between the two teams BFD starter Dennis Martinez had to leave the game in the sixth inning with intestinal cramping. "I was right from the beginning said Martinez.". DH Carman Castillo also reported 'problems' and it has come to this reporters attention at Castillo had to change his uniform three time.

"That is a low down way to win." Said an upset YountFan. "The Mango Men need to be controlled. I don’t know what BC is going to about, but hell, I was just having a little fun with him in the newspapers and he freaking blows ups and trys to take my players out of the game.. Actions like this have no place in baseball. I think the game with Martinez should be forfeited. Why should we take a loss because if his childish behavior."

The Commission BC was not available for comment.

Damn Mangos. I was eying Thornton.

I'm shopping Bob Horner. See my message in the league.

Carlton Out for Season With Mysterious Illness

Postby YountFan » Sat Nov 19, 2005 2:48 pm

Amazing (YF) – Steve Carlton is out for the rest of the season because he is unable to pitch due to a mysterious illness. "I was really counting on Carlton this year." said YountFan. "We have not been able to identify illness, but it started after we visit Mango a few days back. I sent Steve over to the Mayo Clinic but their tests turned up nothing."

Could the mysterious illness be related the "Sutcliffe Incidence"? Are the Mango Men systematically targeting key members of the BFDs? When are the Mango Men going to held accountable for their despicable acts?

"I don’t know if it is related"said YountFan, "But is sure smells bad. You ever been in the visitor's clubhouse in Mango? What a fucking hole. The league should force the Mango Men to clean up that cesspool"

Anybody there?

Been pretty quiet.

Apparently I almost can't give Horner away. And I've only had one offer for Willie Hernandez. These guys don't have bad cards, they're just bad fits for my park/division.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I'm having a tough time getting a feel of my team w/o any reveals as far as which seasons I have....and wouldn't feel comfortable gambling and giving up a player who may have a good year for a player who may have a bad season.

Also, Horner really doesn't fit my team's needs. If he played a corner OF spot, I'd probably be interested.

Sean, I sent you a trade offer that works salary-wise. I think it could benefit both of us, too.

Once again, I find myself too tempted to keep trying to win this year despite my horrible start. The talent coming in for 1985 is pretty nice, so I felt comfortable making a run for a playoff spot again.

I have many teams under .500 right now and all are on the upswing.

P.S. Jerry Reuss is on his last straw with me. He's looking for a home immediately.
