Here's one for you. The Beer Knights have won 14 of their 23 series yet are still 3 games under .500. We haven't swept a series this year, but have been swept four times. Ugh! :x

:)

Yeah, if we don't get a sweep soon, we're going to cut off all post-game beverages. "No beer for you!" 8)

It took 28 tries, but we finally got our first sweep of the season! Over the 32-52 Greyhounds, but we'll take it. :D

Beer has once again been cut off in the clubhouse as we only have one sweep all season! :( I'd be willing to bet we've won as many series as anyone in the league, just can't get that 3rd win.

From here forward, beer ONLY after sweeps!!! ;)

CHICO (AP) - The Chico Beer Knights made a flurry of late season moves to position themselves for a playoff run. Livan Hernandez, a major disappointment for the Beer Knights, was cut along with Bernie Williams and Kevin Gregg. Matt Wise, Amaury Telemaco, and Willie Bloomquist join the Chico squad which only recently moved into playoff contention.

"We had to make a move to strengthen our pitching staff," asserted Beer Knight manager Jet Wineman. "Hernandez and Gregg were spending way too much time taking advantage of the free beer we provide our players and it was showing not only in their waistlines, but in their ERAs."

Hernandez was disappointed with the move. "I know my record wasn't quite what was expected", complained Hernandez. "But I felt like I was coming out of my fog once the team cut off free beers. Hopefully, I can hook up with a team that provides free beer or food. I'm definitely hungry for a new opportunity."

The first-places Aces have been struggling of late, but manager ChuckUL seemed unconcerned with the Beer Knights latest moves. "I don't think Matt Wise is going to help them hit Santana any better than Livo did."

Well, my first $60M team has been a disaster. An inability to find anyone who could hit right-handed pitching did me in.

Bad News, Good News for the Knights.

Bad News, Davanon went down for 15,

Good news is that it happened before the deadline.

Course, that forced us to make another move to grab Bigbie off of waivers. The best of a bad lot he is.

Course, then I see that Livo was picked. Sheesh, why didn't you say you were interested. I'm *sure* we could have worked something out for Oliver Perez! :(

Oh well.
