Does this Team have a chance? I went with High OBP, Power, and some speed. The Pitching Staff does not scare me that much. INput would be appriciated. SGT D

By no means an expert.........Coors is tough on pitching. Your pen probably needs a few R2 guys to eat the innings they will inevitably be called upon to give you. A quick look at your bats.......Guys like Vidro and Winn eat up extra cap space that could be used elsewhere. Sanchez, Reyes, Wright are all 600pa guys so no need to spend any more there then necessary.
I am sure some of the others will get more specific for you, but maybe this is a start............................

Assuming at present, Taverez is your CF, that puts you at 3 hitters that are W's. Coors isn't the best place to be playing W's. I would rid myself of LaDouca. Also, with the lack of LH's in your division, coupled with your ballpark dimensions and those of your division, Sanchez might not be the best fit here either. Dye, Holliday, and to a lesser extent Wright, are the only hitters that have any pop, and both are 4's as well, though I'm assuming Giles is playing RF (perhaps another poor fit here).

Your SP's look ok for the park, nothing outstanding, but basically solid. As for the bullpen strategy, my thoughts differ than most folks on here, so I'll pass on my opinion.

Personally, if I were in Coors, I would probably budget no more than $23 to $25 on my staff.

Agree with Jerlins on the staff, and too many W hitters. Although Myers might get beat up and is probably best served starting on the road in pitcher's parks.

As for Relievers...looks like too many LHPs. I always prefer a righty for a closer.

You should be able to find some good value in chepar hitters with ballpark HRs, and upgrade your Def at same time.

I echo what has been mentioned above. Looking at your starters and being in Coors with a Great American and Wrigley in your division plus there are alot of nice righty bats you will be facing I would be a bit concerned. I take it you are not done making moves on offense yet considering you have Tavaras and Damon along with Dye and Giles with Winn. There are better fits for your team than LoDuca by far and I think out of what I see available Hunter is a much better option in CF than either of the two you have right now. You do have some really nice players but the team could use a little more imo !!
