Catcher question...

I'm sure we've had the answer here before but.... I don't rememeber.

Hal of course requires 2 catchers on the roster. If I have McCann and Piazza as my 2 catchers and I have Piazza in the DH spot will McCann stay injury free? Does having your 2nd catcher play as DH protect your starting C? Since Hal won't pull your DH to play the field....right?

no, they can still get injured, and the game they get injured he will not pull the Dh to the C spot. After that he will play C. Then while 1 in injured the other is bullet proof.

For the duration of the game, that's right. I'm pretty sure with the new HAL logic installed recently by Bernie that in subsequent games Piazza will be put at C, and a new DH chosen (and probably not who you hope for either, HAL seems to be terrible at this, we need DH depth controls...)

I had McAnn catching and Lieberthal DH'ing one game. McAnn got injured. Hal put Chipper Jones into catch. Then Chipper got injured and Hal put Chone Figgins into catch. Surprisingly I was able to pull out the game 8-7, with only minor problems from the catcher position.
