TO ASSMERITEN

Postby rschwartz51 » Sat Apr 14, 2007 1:54 am

Regarding the Signing of George Sisler - Pat Corrales now has to replace Bench due to salary cap issues. YOU REMEMBER THE CAP, RIGHT!

Morgan
Rose
Bench
Concepcion
Foster
Geronimo/Waner
Paul Waner
Pie Traynor

OOPS - We need Pitching

yup I remember the cap. Also Concenpcion doesn't start. Here is how much I can still spend without droping anyone or of course I can drop a 50 cent player after the draft to give me another $500,000 to spend:

Players You Still Need: 1
Average You can spend: 5,600,000

There are numerous lefty starters that cost less than that I am looking at which would then allow me to make my bench stronger. As for now my starting 9 in the batting order:

Catcher Bench
1b Sisler
2b Morgan
SS Wright
3b Traynor
LF Rose
CF Waner, L
RF Waner, P
DH Griffey

on bench right now:
Smith, Spencer, Concepcion, Chaney, Comorosky, Geronimo

Starting rotation:
Kremer, Hill, Nolan, plus who ever I add in round 4.
Bullpen Norman, Miljus, Carroll, Eastwick, McEnaney, opps forgot to add Kirby to this list since he might actually make the big club for those games where I get blown out.

So, see I am not worried. :P

Course if the cap was 80 mil instead of 100 mil then that would be a different story.

I just crunched the points on all the lefty starters I am looking at and I know who I am going for. Also reviewing my draft card and just noticed Traynor can go down for 15 games. On the other hand I was also looking at rbi points on my hitters and now know who my number 3 and 5 hitters are. RBI points are how many points a hitter has that automatically scores a runner from second. Does not factor in clutch or lack therefore of.

I will list Donnie Baseball as my public proxy for Round 4. If he gets taken by 69Cubs, I will be shocked and will need to re-evaluate my salary cap.

I will check back later.

I just sent Tom my round 4 pick via PM if I'm not aorund, course if Cubbies take him, then I'll have to rethink of who I want.

I will be gone all day. I'm not sending my proxy as I think it shouldn't hold things up.

If my turn comes up go ahead and managers behind me can pick if they wish. My needs are to great.
