Liriano - another Tommy John?

There are 30 games left in my season and the team is 2 games out for the division and in a 5-way battle for the wild card. Is there any way I can get Liriano into games as a reliever in between his starts? He hasn't been dominant as I expected but he's got to be one of my best options out there.
Heck, he's already had a TJ surgery in real life so why not blow out his arm in SOM too?

Not really. He has to rest four days between starts to pitch at all, unless it's an emergency.

he has to rest four days between STARTS, but you are aloud to use him as a reliever between his starts, I would advise otherwise though, strat says fatiuge has a factor, i dont know if it does, but it says it does, so if you use him before one of his starts he could be limitied his that start

That's NOT entirely true. In the board game ... after a start ... the pitcher was Tired for 4 games (or 3 as approriate). If during those next 4 games he came into pitch ... he is Tired.

This should be no different. He is tired until after 4 games.

You "could" bring him in tired into a game without proper rest, but that doesn't matter since you don't manage the games, the computer does, and the computer won't bring him in unless his last start was four days ago or more. :|
