Please clarify about trades......Any player that has an assigned owner can't be owned by another owner or traded to another team, is that correct ??? Only players that are not assigned to an owner can be traded or drafted ??? Please clarify... Thanks

I take that to mean as long as you have the minimum number of players from your 2 teams, you may trade freely.

you can trade free agents (i.e. Orlando Hudson for Todd Helton).. they are both from the 6 unassigned teams so this trade would be fine since it does not violate the rules that players from franchise teams must play for their assigned franchises... i.e. Torii Hunter can only play for the Minn-Milw franchise... the roster requirement for the season is at least 19 players from your assigned franchise team set and no more than 5 free agents (players from the 6 unassigned franchises)

It's probably going to be hard to execute trades with such restrictions, but no reason to not allow the ones that could work...
