NLD 16 Role call and Check in

[quote:cdcadcff9a="Jeepdriver"]The story of my season here:

I lose 2 games both in the 9th inning. In both games HAL's pitching changes just didn't make sense.

We won the 3rd game in a blow-out 9-0, but lost another non-600 guy for 8 games, just a couple of nights removed from losing Spiezio for 15.

[b:cdcadcff9a] Feel free to copy the above and paste it in a post a couple of days from now, cause it'll apply then, too. :x[/quote:cdcadcff9a]

Well, we haven't done well when we've gotten hurt. Friggin' 10 game losing streak (and 17 of 21) after losing Duncan for the third time in him playing like 8 games!!!! We've already lost him for 37 games. :( Unbelievable. You'd think he had a 6 injury. No wonder we've just sucked against RHP.

Not mention losing Lane (15) AND B Williams (8) at the same time. We've gone from first to 11 games out in a hurry. :(

In addition, early on we were +6 in one run games, now we're -4 that's a 10 game swing. Can't win a close game either 4-7 in extras.

Guess you gotta stay healthy to win. :(

I suppose we should have guessed that Shields would have a 5+ ERA, Willis would be almost 7 and webb nearing 4. I know we're in a hitter's park, but our hitters aren't exactly over performing to any major extent. Oh, I guess Everett's hitting .260

Man, when it rains it pours.

I do believe we hold the record for longest NLD losing streak. Not even Pattyboy lost 10 in a row. This game sucks!

13-28 in 1 run games. :( .That about says it all.Still cant figure it out esp. with the #2 team in runs scored and now a respectable #7 in team ERA with a very incredible 4.95.At 1 time we were hovering around the 6 mark.Damn dice :x

Hawk, looks like you're pretty snakebit. We were holding our own til recently, but I think we're on our way to joining you.

We're just hoping that the dice turn around and we can put a long winning streak together. Staying healthy would help. :( That and Shields getting within a run of his ERA. <sigh> he's just killing us.

Well, we actually won a game, but our luck continues with 5 unearned runs in the two losses.

Realistic ERAs?

Maddux 4.98 (4.20)
Jennings 5.06 (3.78 in Coors)
Willis 6.82 (!!!!!!!!!!!!) (3.87 )
Shields 5.34 ((2.87)
Downs 5.88 (4.09 in Rogers)
Gaudin 5.97 (3.09)

Three of these guys are 3 runs worse than in real life  I guess Maddux isn't *that* far off, but the others??? Wow.

Wow, should these guys really be this bad??

Oh well, looks like another NLD w/o a playoff trip. It'd be nice to get a few breaks, but doesn't appear like it's going to happen. :(

Well, we're finally playing better, but after a 10 game losing streak, it may be too little too late. Still 9 back.

Course, doesn't help that we lose DUNCAN AGAIN!!!!  This time for *only* five games. Maybe he's just getting all of our injuries, but this is friggin' ridiculous.

Ugh.

I still can't gain any ground on Riggo. I noticed that only 4 teams in this league are above .500. After Cold starts both AT and Hawk's teams have enjoyed some winning ways recently.

Yes unfortunately for my team it might be too little too late.We still have 9 against the Braumeisters so we refuse to give up just yet.Getting to the 500 mark would be a huge victory from where we came from but we can still hope for a miracle. The pitching over the last 30 games or so has been solid and the hitting has been there all season long.
