funny stuff there Kev...

It brings up memories, good and bad, of college. Our beer of choice was...Meisterbrau followed by Schlitz and then Shaffer (sp?).

"Shaffer is the one beer to have when you're having more than 1".
(fancy jingle)

We actually referred to them as Shaffer Sharks, because the next morning, with a pounding headache you would sit down on the toilet bowl, doing your busines, and the beer would come back to bite your a ss..."

Yes, I recall the Meisterbrau days. However, I never did the Schaeffer and Schlitz thing. During my college days in Pocatello Idaho, the cheap beer of choice was something called Buckhorn beer. It was like a $1.29 a six-pack!! We would buy up on it during the 99 Cents sales. 8)

Ah, those were the days.

I remember Moses parting the Red Sea. I was fishing on the otherside drinking wine prepared ancestors.

C'Mon Frank, you weren't drinking wine....you had just drank your second case of Schaeffer and instead of seeing Moses parting the Red Sea, you actually saw Rush Limbaugh do a belly flop at the YMCA pool in bad lighting.

Oooh, by the way, I may have taken the Chuck Curse too far. The Lumberhawks swept him and Chuck has lost 13 of 18 and has 3 guys hurt right now. When will the madness end??!!

I shouldn't have thrown in that Bill Buckner baseball card into the curse brew at the last minute. There is only so much a guy can take!

By chance, did you also throw in the Steve "I can't reach first base" Sax card?

or did you get the lite version using Chuck "throw it into the stands" Knochbloch?

30 pack of Stroh's...$10...UConn, circa 1990... 8)

BTW, somehow my team has mounted an impressive record to this point.

Of course, now that I've pointed that out, let this posting serve as the official downfall of my team...might as well talk to a pitcher in the middle of a no-no... :?

Keyzick, scholars from around the world are trying to figure out your 41-25 record while being outscored by your opponents. The Expanded standings options has you at 32-34.
Your team should be the poster child for clutch hitting and clutch pitching!

I know...that's why I figure it's ok to tempt fate by even posting about them. I mean, what's HAL gonna do, make me have POSITIVE run differential?? :D

Not sure if 5 relievers are cutting it for me. I got 4 excellent guys plus Putz, but they must be pitching tired a lot. Putz's ERA is great, cause he's not pitching except in save situations. Everyone else has ERA's that look more like good slugging percentages.

Gotta drop Redman unless someone wants to swap out. I'll wait 'till tomorrow so if anyone is interested let me know.

It's still fun looking at these box scores every day. :D
