Postby TexasKen » Wed Jun 27, 2007 8:06 pm

When will the draft start? I sent a request last night for an ID to somdraft.com support but not responce yet.

Is there any info on how the live draft works?

Regards,
Ken

can anyone explain just whatsteps and in what sequence we coduct this draft. The way I understand this is we form a team and we get access to the draft site. How do we form the league and how do we draft?

Some info I picked up on other threads....

The draft is 17 players and one stadium long.

Pick your stadium at any time during the draft.

After the somdraft.com draft, fill out your SOM TSN card using the eight undrafted players first, ranked of course how you want them prioritized. The rest of the roster (9 through 25) is your live draft selections (in any order). Someone almost always inadvertently cards a guy on someone else's roster. No biggie, just trade them to the proper team as soon as you can.

That can be avoided if you fill out your draft card as you go and then use the site after the draft and fill your roster with players that have not been drafted. SGT D

REMINDER FROM THE POSTED RULES

Postby KEVINEHLE » Thu Jun 28, 2007 6:39 am

FROM COMMISH: Round 3 sign-ups have begun

This is the $80 million, no-DH, live draft league. If you have not created an account on the live draft site (www.somdraft.com), please e-mail me back and I will create one for you. Make sure to include your TSN ID when you e-mail me back. The live drafts are a fun and addictive way of putting your team together, and the site will keep things moving fairly quickly. Here are some quick tips for the draft:

The draft is 18 rounds long. At the end of the draft, every manager must have 17 players and one stadium and cannot have spent more than $76 million.
You will add the final eight players to your roster when you are creating your team. Please list those players in spots 1-8 on your draft card.
You can draft your stadium at any point during the 18-round live draft.
There is no clock in the first round. After all managers have signed in and made their first round pick, the time clock is 2 hours in rounds thereafter. However, the clock should not run between midnight ET and 10 a.m. ET to be fair to all involved. Each league will decide for itself whether or not to use the clock during the weekend.
Please, please, please make use of the proxy system to keep things going. If you have any questions about how to use the proxy system, please ask your fellow managers. Once you get the hang of it, it is very easy to use.
Managers who are in the 1 or 12 positions have two hours to make both of their picks when they have back-to-back picks - not 2 hours per pick.

[b:0196394d68]I'm not sure who is supposed to set up the draft. I assumed it was the Tour Commish.
