Who are the best leadoff hitters in 2007? I've been using Eric Bruntlett in Chase Field with great success.

On the high end:
Theriot
German
Abreu

vs. RH's:
Lofton

vs. LH's:
Freel

Just off the top of my head.

I don't think there are that many real good leadoff hitters in 2007. Sure Abreu and Jeter have good #'s but after that....

I've used Mauer, great OBP but not much speed. I've used Crawford (probably my favorite so far) but wish he had a better OBP. I've had some success with Castillo and B. Roberts but they were kind of a last resort as no one else on my team suited the role.

I used a Lofton/Crisp platoon for a half season and had some success. All in all that may have been my best leadoff combo. If it wasn't for there injury ratings I'd probably use them again.

Shin-Soo Choo vs RHP is not too bad...

How about Ichiro?? Would be nice to have a bit higher obp, but has great speed on the bases...I see some guys leading him off

Based on this thread.....

I won't have any problem getting who I consider the best against RHP

Ichiro has been the best against lefties that I have found

Delmon Young against lefties isn't too bad except he is better in #2 spot

Freel is good against lefties as well.

I am keeping my secret against RHP though because there are so few against RHP out there....sorry.

Knowing you Bodie, I'm gonna say it's Eric Reed based on his HBP ability.
