American & National League 2 Team Combo 2nd League

Our historical single season sets

How about having to pick both your teams from the same league? I've been in a straight two team a NL/AL why not go with same lague. After 6 teams of one league is chosen then everyone else has to choose from the other league. If no one wants this then I will vote NL/AL. You can also reduce the middle teams advantage by lowering the salary cap.

I am a sucker, but I'll jump in. Also, my $0.02, I like the idea of picking from the same league. I don't like opening it to all the teams. I think it makes it even to restrict to picking opposite or the same league.

Also, just as an idea can we allow trading in this league. Just an idea, but if I take over a team, I would like to make deals with it, other than add/drops. Maybe have a limit of 3 non-base players that you can use.

I have no preference over AL/NL requirement since this is pre-Ron Bloomberg, so no clear difference between the two leagues.

Participating Managers Please Review

Postby rschwartz51 » Fri Dec 09, 2005 3:28 am

I'm making a suggestion and would like to see if there is overwhelming agreement to go with this idea:

Over in ATG2 I ran a league that had a lot of favorable results and was wondering if the idea would perceived well here.

Instead of drafting combos of 1 AL and 1 NL team or 2 teams I would or a committee of managers would put 12 Teams consisting of a combination of teams that have relationships with each other and we would hold a 1 round draft where we would protect a minimum of 20 players each. We could use either an $80M or $100M cap.

I am not that smart. I don't really understand the concept. Please explain further.

Interesting concept, but for this league, I'd prefer to stick with the original 2 team concept.
