Johan Santana was just one out away from a no hitter at AT&T Park as the Columbia Coyotes beat the Makanda Cartel 6 to 0. Santana (5-1) was on top of his game. He gave up just 1 hit and 1 walk in 9 innings. The left-handed Santana lost his no-hit bid when Omar Vizquel

The Columbia Coyotes destroyed the Chicks Dig The LongBall by a score of 24 to 0 at AT&T Park. Three touchdowns and field goal were enough as the Coyotes 4-3 defense stymied the The LongBall all night long.

Javier Vazquez went the distance running his record to (2-1) on the young season. He gave up 2 hits, 2 walks, and K'd five LongBall batters. Every Coyote batter scored at least two runs in this old fashion thrashin'!

Catcher Henry Blanco slammed 3 homeruns as the Buckner Mousetraps beat the Sin City Schmegma by a score of 10 to 6. The newly aquired Blanco was in a groove all day. He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 2nd inning, blasted a solo shot in the 3rd inning and smashed a solo-shot out of the park (his 3rd of the season) in the 5th inning.

Some wild things going on at the one-quarter pole:

Alex Escoboar's .456 batting average and .497 on-base percentage.

Fernando Rodney's 9-1 record. He's on pace for 35 wins.

Gabe Gross' .798 slugging average.

Half of Makanda Cartel's 28 wins have been bullpen wins.
