I have been through live drafts since the beginnings of SOM online gaming, and the one thing that I've learned above all else is
[b:018085613a]
Be Patient![/b:018085613a]
This draft is not moving at an unheard of rate. There will always be players that don't use proxies. There will always be mistakes and screwups. If you are going to play this game for any length of time you'll have to learn to accept the bad along with the good.
Now that I've made my speech, there are things to be dealt with:
1) To the best of my recollection, the clock is always off during the weekend of a Tour event. There may be exceptions to this, but I've not ever participated in a Tour league that had the clock on during a weekend.
2) That said, there is no reason why a draft can't continue over the weekend if everyone uses proxies. And it is true that if a person's time expires someone (anyone) needs to try and make a manual pick in order to get the next person's proxy to fire.
3) Be careful with your picks. While you can drop a pick, it does need to be approved and that takes time. And no one is under any obligation to wait until you get your pick straightened out. If you pick, then drop to pick someone else, that player might be gone by the time your drop is approved. Think about that before you pick and before you drop.
I too have no intention of shepherding this draft to the end but will be able to assist. Let's just take a breath and set those proxies.
