Guys...[u:19ba7cfc1b]fowldawg has already stated that he's out[/u:19ba7cfc1b].

We need to replace him as we are unlikely to finish this today or tomorrow.

Thanks for making a wise and swift decision geekor. :D :D

Man you guys are quick...

Good to see you're back fowldawg. :D

I see no problem in drafting a player only carded for the first few years AS LONG AS HE IS CARDED IN 2002.

IMO- Dotel is geekor's property no matter what.

Mark Ellis is another guy that comes up. He's carded in 2002 and 2003 but no card in 2005, I believe. He becomes property of that owner and MUST be figured in towards the next season when his salary is huge.

geekor, I think we should also say that each draft for the ensuing seasons HAS to be players for THAT season.
ie. You have your 10 keepers and then AD the rest. The players autodrafted MUST be in that next season.

I realize that this can be a "DUH" statement, but I think it needs to be stated up front.

Guys FWIW, this is even more challenging when you purchase ALL of your teams and start building your squads. (Hopefully you already are).

Who you draft in 2002 has a HUGE impact on your team both competively and financially.

Why this has to be done the way geekor decided makes decisions on who to draft even harder.

Woa..... the people you put on your autodraft carries forward to 2003.??? Did I miss something. I am not talking about the base 10... I am talking about the fillers.?????????

[u:3626b6ddc8]I don't want to move backwards.[/u:3626b6ddc8]

If we add in a rule that a player must have 4 years, etc, then picks that were already made, like B Boone, would have to be re-done, i.e move the draft backwards

The main issue (from the consensus I gathered) was that people thought the were drafting from the 02 set. So that is the move I made, drafting from the 02 set. There never seemed to be a consensus that they must be in 4/5 years, that was something added in later to try and move the draft and have my Cabrera pick stand.

We are moving forward as is, it is the best and quickest way to resolve this.

The only issue at hand now is if during the 02 season (we got weeks) do we want to have a futures draft?[/color:3626b6ddc8]

I see 3 possible ideas (add more please if feasible) for this.

3 (to more) round futures draft, anyone not already drafted.

or

at the 1/2 point each season we do a 3 (debatable length, maybe 2) round draft based on current record for the next seasons cards. I.e. at the 1/2 in 02 we draft 3 round of card that have an 03 card and add them into our keeper list.

or

same as above but use random draft assignments instead of record based.

I vote "no" on a futures draft...but will gladly go along with the majority vote on this. 8)

vote no for a futures draft.... just draft the 2002 cards that become keepers and everything from there is autodraft
