Lefty Pitcher

Lefty Pitcher

Looking to add Low priced LH pitcher. Playing in Griffith

Options are Gura,Mcgregor, Grove, Brecheen, Hiller

Gove has not worked for me in the past and hate to spend 6.6 Million for under performance although I like him outside of Strat.

1/2 parks are HR parks. My division has neutral parks but one Dunn so I want a LH starter there.

Other topic-are the old Cubs hurlers Lungren & Ovurall any good for a 5 man rotation?

I used Hiller 12 times, 10 in Griffith and Forbes, twice in Dunn.Average
ERA was 3.92 and W-L was 138-137.

One u didn't mention is Bruce Hurst. Not sure he'd be a great fit for Griffith given he has some automatic HRs on his card, but he's excellent for neutral parks and posts great strikeout and K/BB numbers. U need some strength in the back end of the bullpen to finish things up for him, but he's a good start for 7 inns. If the Dunn team doesn't have an overabundance of lefties, he's definitely worth a look. Otherwise I'd give Gura or Brecheen a try.

Hiller is a great value in a pitchers park.

McGregor has done well for me in all sorts of parks. If you're looking for a a lefty for a 5-man rotation, check out Bill Walker. I haven't used him in ATG 2, but in ATG 1 he did a heck of a job for me numerous times.

Grove and Brecheen are better hitters' park pitchers. Gura is decent, McGregor is better if you are going 4-man. I second Knepper and Cuellar, or maybe even McNally.

5-man - Hiller has been okay but not great for me in 2 attempts in pitchers' parks. Overall and Lundgren are okay values for their price but not outstanding. Pat Dobson is very good in pure pitchers' parks like Griffith.
