Help Another Wrigley Team

Help Another Wrigley Team

Postby STEVENMCNAMEE » Sat Dec 10, 2005 5:08 pm

Here is a link to my team. The league starts on Monday and I know that it can be improved, but past tinkering has lead to some major mistakes.

I know general things about playing in RH ballpark. I had very good success in Shea and now wanted to try Wrigley.

Any and all comments on make-up of pitching staff, and a look at my players with advise on who to replace would be helpfull. There is already a thread for one of my opponents and some help there, but would like more specific comments to my teams needs.

Division has 2 other wrigleys and a PNC park.

Not too bad.

What does Zito do for you? He is a reverse lefty but too many #'s vs rhh.

You need a lefty to DH/PH that kills rh pitchers.

I would like one more power LHH to make them think about anyway.

offense looks pretty good to me..........defense looks very shaky....i would never play a 4 in the inf.....

pitching staff isnt bad
though i tihnk you have too much $$$ spread out.....
id keep westbrook. depends if you want a 4 man starting rotation also....

in your bullpen id keep torres and lidge... and a lh specialist and dump eveyone else and spend it on SP*... and some inf/of def

I agree about the LH bat have been looking at Morneau, Overbay, Giles or Koskie, but do not know who I would drop.

I am going to drop a couple of pitchers, but have not seen what I want yet....still waiting

Do you think that Ramirez is that much of a defensive liability and would you trade AROD?

Okay, I back at it again.

Was going to play Glaus at third and DH Aram. Asked about Huff and got offer of Huff for Glaus. If he would take it do you think Aram for Huff is good offer? Same owner has Peavy. I was thinking of offering Aram and Westbrook for Huff and Peavy?

What does everyone think my biggest weakness is at this time.

I wouldn't trade Ramirez in Wrigley, same for Glaus.
Especially with 2 other Wrigley's in your Division.

I don't really care for Giles here. He's gonna suffer with his BPHR's.

I would go with a platoon in RF. You should see a significant # of RH's in your division.

Cheap Lefty RF's I would use in Wrigley are:
Kerry Robinson
Dave Roberts

More expensive Lefty RF's:
Abreu
Dejesus
C. Thomas
Piedra
