Injury Ratings

Injury Ratings

Postby palacekillers » Sun Aug 05, 2007 11:28 pm

Please help me understand something. I was under the impression that a player with a 1 injury rating was capped as to how many games he could miss at one time. I have Scott Rolen in 2007 and he has already had one injury of 10 games and is now injured again for 8 games and he is a 1 on injuries. Is something wrong here?

600 plate appearances is the key...

The cap comes into play only if the AB plus BB total ='s 600 or more. If the player satisfies that criteria, their injuries are capped at 3 games max per event. Players with less than 600 plate appearances are capped at 15 games.

A 1 injury rating only means that he has less of a chance for the injury to occur. Once it does occur then you go by the AB+BB (over/under 600) to determine the max. length of the injury.

Great....and Rolen had 577 total, so there is nothing I can do.

So, the next question is who do I replace him with?

don't replace him deal with injury and drop one of your 35 of's for a replacement for when these things happen.

No offense yomayoma but....are you high?

I have a 2-man platoon in RF, one CF, one LF, and my DH is an OF. So, 7 outfielders may seem like a lot, but 2 are strictly for injury backups and the other five are part of the regular lineup.
