Congratulations. If you're like me, you'll take them anyway you can get them.

I would imagine that you were the division winner of a weak division, and that there were probably other teams in your league with better records which did not qualify for the playoffs. In addition, since your team was below 0.500, that would imply that the other playoff teams likely finished with records well over 0.500. After losing in the playoffs, I can imagine that they're gnashing their teeth and pulling out their hair.

I was in the Colt's Division. The League was set-up where you chose A Team (Colt's=Astros) I had the Red Sox. You could only draft 1 Player who did not play for the original Team could be traded but not dropped. You could trade players to other teams but drop and pick up guys from the waiver pool unless they were on you original team. My Red Sox came in 5 Games back of the Colt's. I did call it saying the Champ would come out of the West (We all know how HAL acts). So congrats to the Colt's and it was a fun League. SGT D

I was the Twins and felt pretty confident until HAL brought the wrath of G*d down on me in the first round.
Morneau gets hurt (ouch) . . .
Mauer gets hurt (ouch ouch) . . .
Nathan gives up five home runs and loses three games (ouch ouch ouch)

Such is life here in Strato world.
