Hi

I have played the strat board game for years, just started playing on line what a blast!!!!

Anyway my Sunday night strat league has a major problem. For years none of us (maybe one but he wont admit it) knew that there was strat online and that made draft day a blast, we drafted off of stats alone. You didnt see a card until you picked a player then the guy that we brought in just to hand out cards would give you that players card. It was great watching guys get peeved about a player hitting or defense. Well by the end of last year people were making some strange pickups(we can keep players if we wish) and pretty soon everyone had looked at the 07 cards.

So now we a trying to figure out how to have an exciting draft day. Half of our fun was the unknown and now we have talked about it and not one of us likes the way that the draft will be this year so we are looking for different ideas. We dont want it to be like a fantasy football draft, we want to hear a little more whinning during the draft. Anyone have any good ideas..

Why not move the draft up in time. The cards don't come out until the season is well over. Or conversely, you can all come play online or all gain access to the SOMO spreadsheet that breaks out chances.
