Why would HAL remove my only viable catcher?

Dean...
With a guy that is NOT rated as a catcher?
First of all...After checking the save settings button, it should have stopped me. How can a guy come in at a position that he's not rated for?
How can HAL pull my only healthy catcher and replace him with Cora?
This is wrong on a few counts...
1. Being able to save Cora as a defensive sub @ C.
2. Mirabelli is NOT checked to be replaced with a substitution
3. HAL actually floowing through with this logic

Which is a great reason not to make him your defensive replacement at catcher!

I do agree that you should be locked out of doing this; since you can't do it in the starting lineup, it only makes sense. But what exactly are you trying to accomplish here? Are you trying to prove that it's more the game's fault than your own? Is that really necessary? Seriously, now... YOU SET THE GUY TO COME IN AND CATCH.

In a haste to get my team together, I mistakingly choose Cora instead of Mirabelli for replacement #1.
So IOW- when Ross, my main catcher goes down, Mirabelli should come in.
