Wtf?

Wtf?

  :!:

In an attempt to shake up my pitching staff, I decided to remove Liriano from my starting rotation and use him as a set up man. I waited until Liriano was rested and set my new rotation and made the necessary changes to my manager strategy. Hal saw it differently, however, and went ahead and started Liriano anyway. While Liriano pitched a fine game and got the win, this is NOT what I wanted to do. Now Liriano must rest again. How do I make this move?

One possibility is that you did not have any other rested starters. A link to your team would help.

Maybe you made the changes after 10 PM EST deadline.

How do I link to my team? I am sure I was before the deadline and had all of my ducks in a row as this was a major move for me and a lot of thought went into it. As far as not having a rested starter, Mike Maroth has not pitched in a LONG time....(thank you lord)

Go to Leagues/Statistics/Team and then select your team. Copy and paste the URL address shown (which should include a user_id number at the end).

You got it. You still need to include the http stuff, though, so we can click on it. I know, we're lazy.

Looking at your SPs, you have 4 *SPs in addition to maroth, so I agree there is really no way you couldn't have a rested starter available barring injury.

So the answer might be splinters response - that the changes didn't make it in time before the games were run.

And oh man, watching carlos guillen hit .242 has got to hurt!

Thank you for the sympathy about Guillen, but offense has not been my problem. I am leading the league in runs scored and last in earned runs...hence my pitching shake up. Oh well, the Liriano thing is over and I can't get it back so I guess its time to move on. I was mad about it this mornining, but I need to look at the bright side....Liriano got the win.

If you have the correct pitchers listed in your "day-to-day" starters slots, this should be taken care of. If you leave those blank and you didn't have Maroth listed in your rotation, Hal will just make the move that makes the most sense for your team.
Finally, I know it's none of my business, but Liriano's salary would only be about $4M dollars if he only had relief eligibility. IMHO, you would be wasting a lot of money using him in the bullpen since you've got a pretty nice stable of relievers as it is. Good luck with your team!
