Nobody Loves Kevin Millar

Why is this? I've never seen him even picked up post draft.

His OBP numbers are sky high, but is it DPs or something? You could use him at 1B in a pinch, but otherwise seems like he could be a good OBP DH option for only $4M. Especially for a park that favors RH hitters (Fenway, Wrigley, or even SBC?).

Has anyone ever had success picking him up (perhaps after losing out on somone else)?

Well I always think the same thing and pass. I like Crisp, Delgado, Burke, Ibanez, Figgins, E. Young and Thomas for DH in the same price range or cheaper. Millar doesn't do anything real well. He is a disaster in the field so I think that scares people away. But he is on someone's team in my new league. I shall keep an eye on him.

I used him once on a Safeco team with Mientkiewicz as my late inning replacement at 1st. Numbers were pretty damn good considering Safeco is lefty slanted. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

Interersting. In Safeco no less with 1-1 hit numbers both sides.

So a .383 OBP and .855 OPS in Safeco?! Damn!

Seems like a productive DH option for a team with other good bats.

There was a Petco, Dodger, and Fenway in my division, which while the other two parks helped him along, Petco surely didn't. His defense is horrid, dh is his best position, but he won't totally destroy you at first either. Just have yourself a decent late inning replacement and your good to go.

I am currently using MILLAR in a league, this is the first time I've used MILLAR but so far I'm happy with him only wished he was my DH instead of 1B

I have Millar in the league that Sac Kings was talking about, and through six games he's on pace for a gold glove! Sure, he's hitting like your little sister (.200, 0 homers), but no one on my Wrigley team is hitting too terribly well (.219 team average). If you'd like to get a better reading on how he does in a righty favoring park, hit me up in a couple of weeks. That'll be about a quarter of the way through the season.
