shea team advice

what is the Shea strategy?

I tought it was:

get good lefty power hitters and pitchers good versus lefties

I am usually a petco park type of team but occassionally try things like a coors or shea team but I always fail, what am I missing?

my most recent in progress "shea" team

I am getting ready to "blow it up" to some degree to experiment, I was just looking for some suggestions, and yes, I have read the other shea team thread currently near the top of the board

Too much RH pitching in a lefty hitting park.

Your rotation's pretty weak, and especially if your divisional opponents feature a decent number of switchhitters, you want a lefty or two in the rotation to turn 'em around.

Agree with Socal here. You have about 4 too many starting pitchers that are right handed.

as for the Managerial Settings I am middle of the road

maximize closer
normal relief usage
normal on bunting
conservative on hit and run
slightly agressive on basepaths and stealing

starting pitchers I usually don't tweak, I leave the settings blank
relief I set according to their makeup
studs 2-3 innings per outing, no other restrictions
all other relievers set to 1-2 innings per outing
extreme pitchers to avoid their weak side, quick hook

Hitter restrictions mostly have to do with bunting, stealing and hit and run.
I am not a fan of the hit and run so I typically make all players as "do not H&R", the only exception being if I have a HR guy with speed in front of him

fyi I've made some changes to the team, and yes, I realize dumping salary makes a team weaker, I understand that, I am chalking up this season to a learning process, if I win, good, if not, there is always next time
