A song that was made famous once again by the Blues Brothers film in 1980!

Remember that this is a no DH league. I noticed that Frank Howard and Rico Carty were taken. Not to say you can't play them in the field. They played in the field in 1969!

True, Carty's defense is abyssmal. But the bastid can HIT.

Here's a recent playoff team with Rico in LF. Perhaps his D brings his value back down to less than $5m. But I doubt it.

Big, defense and Injury are what I would believe bring him down, but that card is solid.

Get a 1.00 replacement for injury, and the total cost is still less than 6.00, for darn good production.

Hooner, no doubt that the D and the injury factor bring his price way down. But my point is that the price is too low, even in a no-DH league. In a DH league, forget it.

Of course, I could be wrong.

Nah, I think you are right. I have gotten him in a few leagues, while flanking him with good defense in the rest of the OF, and having a player like Uhleander backing him up for injury purposes has worked great.

Great value pick IMO.

Question for everyone:

How should waivers work?

I like having a set time, of 5pm for everyone to become FA's, I do not like frenzy as I think it is unfair for some people.

I think we should have Regular Waivers, since we are auto-drafting only 11 players. I would suggest that we limit waiver pick-drops to players that were FA. So, a team would not be allowed to pick-up a player by dropping a drafted player. I think that would be easy to do and keep the theme.

Any thoughts on this?
