It all depends on your draft card and the order you listed the players. It makes no difference what order you joined theleague. If you listed Pete #1 on your card, and nobody else did, you will get him. If more than one person listed him #1, it will be random as to who gets him mrom those managers. If you missed out on Pete, you will receive the next most expensive pitcher [b:7139f55b72]that is not listed on any other draft card[/b:7139f55b72] be advised, that HAL makes no differentiation between * and non* pitchers, so if you list camnitz, for example in the #3 slot, and someone else did as well, the player losing out on camnitz may end up with Babe Adams instead.
It's all very complicated, but the process then runs for all of the draft slots.
If you are the only person who listed a player on your draft card, you will get that player. Thus the "Stick Mays/Alexander at the bottom just in case no one else lists him" draft strategy.
Back in ATGI 12 lunatics did a comprehensive tst league to try to figure out exactly how HAL resolved draft issues, Anyone have any data on that?
