Best team names of 2005

Postby cummings2 » Thu Dec 15, 2005 9:00 pm

I don't know about you guys but I always get a good chuckle with the often fun and creative Team Names that have been floating around in different leagues I've been in.

Some city names make for some funny quotes in the game summary like: "The Idiot crowd was treated to an intriguing pitcher's duel"

Some manager's names make for some funny quotes from the clubhouses at the end of the game, like: "Edgar Allan Poe was in a somber mood in the clubhouse after the game"

However I am sure you guys have gotten the best ones so chime in with your favorite Team names and Manager Names of 2005.

For me off the top of my head I'd say:

j22m22's: Idiot Cavemen
SWP's: Arizona CHA CHAs
and
Detroit-Tigers's: Yo Mamas

of my own teams:
Rainbow Randalls managed by Rainbow Randall (if you haven't seen "Death to Smoochie" you probably won't get why the Rainbow Randall quotes often give me a good chuckle"

Had a guy in a league earlier in the year - team name was Panama Reds, and his manager's name was Hy Althetime! Now I'm in a league with the Amsterdam Munchies.

I kinda like my current team name, Thelonious Monks...
