Popped in during a short lunch break, entered the West. One more to go, draft will run tonight, Waivers Sunday, league launch Monday! We'll be done just after the real World Series!

Now that the live draft is complete and we are about to get our league started...any bold predictions?

I already dislike my team. It seemed that almost every round, y'all were reading my mind 5 picks deep and snapping up players just before I could get to them.

I think what the Monkey Brains will lack in raw power after Ortiz, they will make up for in generally solid fielding and above average arms in the OF and behind the plate and solid clutch ratings in a division full of teams that could have trouble hitting in clutch situations late in games.

The wild card for the Monkey Brains will be starting pitching. Much like Sykes, the Brains will likely be depending on quick hooks and solid relief performances, especially from Benoit, Reyes and Nathan closing out games.

I do feel like Monkey Brains is well set up to counter the Muah Hah Hah strategy of Sykes. I expect a lot of high scoring games with Sykes, whose batters should cut through RHP like a hot knife through butter.

I am interested to see how Tom uses Thome/VMartinez/RHernandez...Martinez behind the plate is always scary, but I considered drafting him as a 1B just before Tom nabbed him.

Turtle's team reminds me of the NL team I had...Huge power source with Hafner/Morneau/Guerrero, and effective platoons with Lopez/Kennedy and Salmon/Matsui.

I was on the victor martinez for 1b bandwagon too until tws shoved me off. ill reserve any predictions, bold or otherwise til I see my team and division more easily diagnosed. I wish roy halladay could pitch on 2days rest!
